Why Whisnant?
Stephen has been an educator for 32 years. Serving the last 28 as Band and Orchestra Director at Loris High School. During his tenure he has planned budgets, scheduled performances and trips and worked tirelessly to make sure that his students have had the best opportunities available. He has volunteered for food banks and has served on the youth committee and taken may youth trips at Dogwood Hill Baptist Church where he serves as a trustee, Deacon and Music Director.
Stephen is running for The Board of Education because he loves the students and the teachers in District 10 That he has spent a career fighting for.
